Simplifying in the Fall Season

Maybe you noticed, maybe you didn’t…. But I wanted to call myself out on something.

I added a date to the Women’s Health Circle series in October, and then I stopped talking about it last week.

It’s because I feel my energy dipping as the days get shorter, and the urge to be quieter and more internal.

Do you feel it, too?

Soon I'm gonna be in my pajamas by 5pm.

This is a natural part of moving into vata (fall) season.

Additionally, Denver, Colorado, where I live, is the ESSENCE of vata, and no more so than in October: cold in the morning. Hot in the afternoon (variability is a hallmark of vata). DRY, so dry. Mobile- the wind whipping through the trees. Light- the air is lighter, the essence of the light is less dense.

At this time of year, I have my flip-flops, walking shoes, and snow boots lined up, ready for anything.

I changed my clothes three times yesterday. 😆

I’ve talked about a few tips to manage vata energy, especially as it is a transition time of year when people often get sick.

I also want to encourage you to slow down and simplify.

Take something out of the schedule that doesn’t NEED to be done. ESPECIALLY as we move towards the holiday season, see what you can take out now.

Maybe you even remove some engagements in November and December, too?

So, sorry (not sorry), though I have dearly loved the Backyard Women’s Health Circle, there won’t be one this month.

I know that many of you were interested and summer FLEW by--so don’t worry. It will be back. Perhaps as an online offering in January, or a living room thing.

January because we will be past the holidays and solstice and turning back towards the light (which = more energy for external events!)

To simplification.
