Hi! I’m Maria Gabriela. I primarily help women prepare for, manage, and celebrate the transition into menopause (perimenopause). I’m excited to serve you and help you attain your full radiance in middle-age. I would love to hear from you!
I’m based in Denver, Colorado. My practice is virtual, so I see clients locally and nationally.
The best way to connect with me is by signing up for my weekly newsletter. You can also find me on Instagram and Pinterest.

FAQs OnWorking With Me to Help Manage Signs & Symptoms of Perimenopause

No. I will give you suggestions on lifestyle changes from an Ayurvedic lens based on your goals, which may include daily habits, sleep, energy management, and food. We will work to integrate them into your modern life.
-
I will ask you to tell me what is prompting you to seek help from an Ayurveda health coach, and what you’re hoping to accomplish in working with me. I’ll give you a rundown of how I work (much of which is also answered below!), make sure to answer any questions you may have, and let you know if I honestly think it’s a fit for both of us to work together. If it is a fit and you would like to move forward, I will schedule your intake and findings during that call.

I work with clients online using a system called PracticeQ. The forms you fill out are electronic, and secure, and we will meet via the system’s video calling. Your privacy is very important to me, and this platform includes compliance with HIPAA.

I typically schedule your initial consult and Ayurveda findings at the same time, one week apart. The intake is 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the findings are 1 hour and 15 minutes.
During the intake session, i will be asking you many follow up questions to the intake form you filled out, so you will be doing much of the talking.
During the findings session, I will be presenting to you the Ayurveda findings all about you: your makeup and your current imbalances, and lay out a map/plan for tackling those based primarily on your goals.
After that, I typically start off with seeing you every two weeks for the first couple of months to get things rolling and continue to coach you on integrating the plan.

The answer is truly: it depends! It is said in Ayurveda that for every year a symptom is present, it requires one month of treatment; however, this may mean making many integrations of new habits for that amount of time. Much of this depends on your baseline habits and how motivated you are to make shifts! You are truly in the driver’s seat. I have seen clients who are motivated have amazing breakthroughs quite quickly (see my client testimonials.)

Perimenopause can be up to a decade long transition, and can start as early as your mid-30s. Please refer to my blog posts on menopause and the symptoms of perimenopause; you do not have to be completely sure to work with me.

No. I welcome anyone (including men) who is interested in Ayurveda. Specializing in perimenopause is simply an entry point for a group who is in much need of attention. Please set up a call with me to discuss your goals and I would be happy to let you know if I believe it’s a fit for us to work together.
