Celebrate Your Year, Let Something Go
I’m coming to you on a day where I feel sort of hung over and tired. I’m not hung over from alcohol– it’s what a new friend of mine calls a “vulnerability hangover.” I’ve been attempting to put myself out there more and more from the space of my heart.
I’ve been working pretty hard lately on the ins and outs of building my business, trying out some new things that seem to be working and others that seem to have fallen flat.
One recent accomplishment is completing two runs of my new signature workshop, one of which was yesterday, after months of working on the actual workshop and strategy to run it next year (stiillll a work in progress!).
(Side note: if you’re interested, I'm giving the workshop for the first time publicly on January 28. You can learn more here. You'll hear more about this again soon!)
I’m sure you’ve also been working really hard juggling about a million things, and maybe wrapping up three of them.
It’s that time of year.
I’m also feeling the pull I always feel mid-December: I feel like doing nothing. I want to quit the year, lay in my bed, and wake up at the end of January (because, Winter).
So I’m going to say to you what I’m saying to myself, even though it’s me on hyper-repeat:
Give yourself a break. Take some rest. Take SOMETHING off your list today.
If you bring a store-bought dessert to Aunt Betty’s this year instead of a homemade pie, the world will be okay.
And,
Celebrate what you’ve accomplished or are grateful for this year. Even if you feel like the holiday to-do list is out of control.
Spirit of transparency:
Here is what I took off my list today:
Write a newsletter about Ayurveda help with holiday travel (haha, yep, I wrote this instead… why? Less effort).
Here are three things I’m celebrating this year (non-biz related):
My health
More time in nature with my partner (even hiking in the cold!-- I'm a warm weather woman!)
Surrendering more into spirit, flow, and patience
I would love to hear what you’re celebrating. I thought I would ask this question in a couple of weeks as we moved closer to the end of the month, but here we are, and here it is. Drop a comment below and let me know!
